Two factor authentication with DUO security

FBO One has an integration with DUO for making the login more secure. The login process requires two steps to confirm the identity of the user before allowing access in FBO One.

The setup

Step 1 is to apply for an account with DUO (https://duo.com/).

Step 2 is to create a new Application in DUO representing your FBO One system

Step 3 Copy and paste these settings in FBO One and we are ready to go

First time login experience

Two factor authentication per FBO One user

When setting up a user in FBO One, the two factor authentication is enabled by default. But if you need for some users to disable the two factor authentication you need to uncheck the box

Troubleshooting

For some reason if the DUO services are down and FBO One cannot communicate with DUO, the second step of authenticating will be silently skipped by FBO One and an error will be recorded in FBO One under Administration / Application / Errors page
