How to auto-add products based on parking position

Prerequisite reading: auto-add products and parking areas & positions functionality.

This functionality allows services to be automatically added to orders based on parking movements. For example if the aircraft enters nose-in parking 'X'  then add a 'Push-Back' service or if the aircraft enter and exits Hangar then add 'Towing'. FBO One allows this by adding the option to link a parking positions to auto-add products so that these are automatically added to the order.

Prerequisites for auto-adding products based on parking position

  • Have a product to be auto-add based on parking position
  • Define the criteria for the product to be auto-added 

          

  • Assign the parking positions to the auto-add rule (Need to create new parking positions see here)

          


Assigning a parking position to an auto-add product

This can be achieved in the Administration page, section 'Products' and sub-section 'Auto-add products' as depicted below. Select the desired auto-add product and you will find, lower down the page, the section 'Auto-add parking position

The available fields are:

  • Applies to parking position - The parking position meant to be linked to the auto add product
  • Count to - Required to determine if a service is added when entering the position
  • Count from - Required to determine if a service is added when exiting the position

Multiple parking position can be linked to any idividual auto-add product:

Creating new orders

When creating new orders the auto add product with assigned parking positions is not automatically added until actual on/off blocks are specified:

  

or if upon order creation the "Pre-assign parking position" field is specified:

In which case the auto add product is added to the order, with Quantity=1 and no internal remarks, as these can not be determined without proper on/off blocks:

Specifying a parking position to the order, position that is also linked to the auto add product, will determine a recalculation of the quantity of the auto add product and also it will auto complete the remarks field based on the "Count to" and "Count from" fields:

If another position is added that is also linked to the auto add product, then quantity and remarks fields are properly updated:

If a position is added that is not linked to the auto add product, then this will have no effect on the displayed quantity or remarks field:

Manual removal of the auto add product

This action will not trigger a automatic re-adding of the delete product, although valid parking positions are assigned to the order:

   

It is possible to manually re-add the service/product and this way quantity and remarks will be updated in case changes occur:

Clearing order parking history

Removing any or all parking positions assigned to the order will trigger a recalculation of the auto add product quantity, as well as a reset of the remarks field:

If all parking positions assigned to an order are removed, then the auto add products quantity is set to 0 (zero) and remarks fields emptied. 

The auto add product is not automatically deleted and needs to be canceled manually, so that 3rd party service providers are also informed about the cancellation.
