How to configure company logos on reports and on screen

Logo Quality

Depending on the size of the logo, a certain picture quality is required to be able to print without pixelation, but the file size of the image must remain small enough as not to generate large order report files (and even larger batch invoice files!). A good rule of thumb is to create a 600 dpi (dots per inch, or pixels per inch) image. For example, if the logo needs to be 2 inches wide, it would require 1200 dpi or 1200 pixels width. Regarding file format, .JPG is not a good choice as this compression method reduces the number of colors, which is okay for normal photos but causes pixelation in logos. A better format for the image is .PNG or .GIF. Also, make sure the total file size of the image remains below 100kb.
