How to create a new FBO location

Follow this checklist to create a new FBO location in FBO One

  • Check the user demo is already removed from the database
  • Enable clean robot (in administration->robots)
  • IP whitelist the new IP adresses
  • Create administration (actually: accounting system). If the new location shares an administration with an existing location, skip this step
  • Create aircraft administration. If the new location shares an aircraft administration with an existing location, skip this step
  • Set up VAT codes. If the new location shares an administration with an existing location, skip this step
  • Set up a VAT rule group for the new location (and set it in the administration). If the new location shares an administration with an existing location, skip this step
  • Check if the required currency existsts or create the currency
  • Check if the station for the new location exists, or created it if needed. Also check and if the time zone of the station is correct
  • Create FBO location
  • Set up forms of payment for the new location. If the new location will be part of an existing FBO location group, skip this step
  • Set up roles for the new location and system if they require specific rights that are different from other locations
  • Create contact for the location: create organization for employees
  • Create some users. Note: all users, even of different FBO Locations, should be linked to the same organization. The employees can be linked to the organization created for this new location
  • Set the 'AllowLiveUpdates' setting to false for the new location for testing (This prevents email  confirmations being sent to clients). This setting should be added in Administration --> FBO locations
  • Set the TestEmailList and FromAddress settings for the new location to receive test mails and updates from that location.This setting should be added in Administration --> FBO locations
  • Set 'IDGenerator' for the ordernumber for the location to specify the start number for the orders
  • Create an 'fbo location group' with just this location (and put location in 'all location' group and other relevant groups)
  • Set flight types for location
  • set setting BackupDocumentsEmailSubject  to be 'FBO One Open orders backup <FBO Location>' and BackupDocumentsEmailAddress to be the ops address.  
  • If the location is in a system that already has other locations, check the settings report to see if there are any other settings that need to be set location specific.
  • Create an order to test the new location
